alright yall might have seen me with the other post gsr with super high compression ctr pistons did do the job but they were 2 close to the top of the head! i had a valve break off and fall down in there and it tore up ever4ythings magicallay the block is fine the head is garbage and the piston was shattered! so i am looking for help on my build!

bottom end

i am using the stock crank

i am also using the stock rods

what pistons?

either type r or pr3 or p30

rod bearings i am going to use acl superglides

main are staying the same ones that are in there they only have 60k on them

head

I have already bought a gsr head with port and polish and angle valve job
$400

i am using type r cams

i have sual springs off of my last head

i have two sets of retainers stock and titanium

i only have on set of valves which are stock the stainless from my last build r in the shithole

which retainers should i use i heard the titanium tend to drop valves

and should i buy new valves or what??

I AM MAKING A CAR JUST TO TAKE TO THE TRACK FOR FUN OR JUST TO DRIVE ON WEEKENDS!!

with this build i have a stock p72 ecu obd2 and i also have a p28 chipped crome with obda to obd1 conversion harness hoping to run stock ecu but if i need to get tuned its fine!!

let me know what you think all suggestions are fine!!!

i say get new stainless valves and some type r pistons but just to be asafe u might want to use the claybar to check your clearances of the pistons and valves this time

replace the Main bearings, your going to be there anyway and they only cost like $40 and id replace them if they have 60K

PR3 or P30s are what you want piston wise

TI retainers dont cause any problems unless you have huge camshafts, which you dont. so id use them

Depends on what you want. Either way you gotta get oversized pistons. With a bigger bore you'll get a higher displacement and a little bump in compression.

well i dropped off the block it is being bored to 82 mm should i use stock valves or should i buy some other ones i jsut want an even9 grand redline!
