2005 Lexus GS300

De-badged the Trunk
New Junction Produce Spoiler
New TTE Front Lip

Before

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0825.jpg

Used a heat gun and some goo gone with some rubbing compound afterwards to clean it up.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0826.jpg

3M Taped up the spoiler pieces with some high strength grade 3M Tape.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0827.jpg

Debadged and trunk spoiler installed.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0835.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0829.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0828.jpg

Test fitted the TTE lip spoiler

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0830.jpg

Everything looked nice so we started to 3M Tape up the inner lips

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0831.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0833.jpg

Definitely lots of people at the shop today

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0839.jpg

Let the tape do its work for a while as we waited for the Integra to finish up on the lift.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0846.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0847.jpg

Drilled and screwed on the lip from the predrilled points and then taped up the lip to make sure that it held up the weight while the tape and caulking glue dries. I contemplated eating the glue at one point! So hungry!

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0852.jpg

Officer Jermaine didn't understand what the tape was for lol

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0853.jpg

Glued, taped, and caulked up!

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0850.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/10-9-0851.jpg

All buttoned up and finishing off the glue.

A few pictures that I got at Zaxby's where JonFlip, G35Chaser, and I ate dinner.

So picked up a few parts for a client last week. They were bought off of a classifieds ad so the condition was less than perfect. Took the parts over to our powdercoating guys and had them media blast the parts and recoat them with anthracite powder. The parts look brand spanking new and will be installed shortly on a client's white Lexus GS400.

Very stubborn bolts. Car was from the north so there was a lot of rust. Had to dremel 1 bolt, 2 of them snapped and one came out smooth.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04075.jpg

Started to work on the ECU for the SRT intake which wires directly into the OEM ECU to change the air/fuel ratios.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04076.jpg

Soldered all the connections and shrink wrapped them.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04077.jpg

All buttoned up and neatly packed inside the ECU box.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04078.jpg

Here is what the car sounded like before intake and exhaust with the ECU upgrade.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/th_MOV04037.jpg (http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/?action=view&current=MOV04037.flv)

Here is what the car sounded like after the intake and exhaust with ECU upgrade was installed.

Started to tackle the Subwoofer. The client already had everything hooked up however the battery line was way too small for such a poerfrul amp at 950 watts. So, he asked me to run a new 0 gauge power line with a fuse from the battery to the trunk.

This was what it looked like before I touched anything. Pretty nasty and ugly if you ask me.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04081.jpg

The battery wire is the tiny red one

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04084.jpg

I used the existing battery wire to run the new 0 gauge wire through the passenger side firewall.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04085.jpg

Took apart the kick panel to access the wire and tucked it through the side wells.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04086.jpg

Had to take out the rear seats to access the trunk holes

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04087.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04088.jpg

Ran the wire through the rear deck firewall

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04089.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04090.jpg

Then I decided to redo the ground wire while I was at it. The existing one was very small and grounded at a very inconvenient place. The new grounding spot.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04091.jpg

Mounted the amp on the back of the box and installed the lines.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04094.jpg

Nice and hidden now. Don't worry, I will be doing a custom beauty wall for the trunk to move the sup enclosure back and give him back his trunk space.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04093.jpg

Mounted the battery line fuse in the engine bay.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04097.jpg

The engine bay pre cleaning.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04092.jpg

Changed out the amber side markers to clear side markers.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/CarbonGS/Shop%20Pics/DSC04099.jpg
