View Full Version : Any Ef enthusiast fans of the Ea's?:
I came across this 1986-1987 Si on Honda-tech.It just made me want to drop everything I had planned and buy me a 86-87 Si.:D
Check the spoiler it was an option on the usdm hatch.Wish the 88-91's had that kind of option.
Enjoy!!.

I am a big fan of the 84-87 CRX, but the hatch would have to nearly free for me to buy one.

And that is what makes the world go around everyone has their preference.:goodjob:
I am not into the 1st gen crx all to much but I'd defentiley take one.

I like the styling of them alot but the engine compartment layout along with torsion bar suspension is a real turn off for me.

Yea that is what pushed me away from the 1st gen integras.I have owned 3 but I really hate the solid beam rear axles and tortion bars.
The styling is what pulls me in most,if I did find one worth buying it would be just to make a nice daily.I'll leave my swaps and everything for the 88-91's.

I am a pretty big fan of them... I have an 87 Si Hatch and my girl has an 85 Crx Si... there's a pretty big community of them on redpepperracing.com. The owner of that car is on RPR as well, I love that car.

I'd really like one. There is a red one on Craigslist locally that seems pretty straight forward. Body is near mint for that old.

Other than the 8inch rusted hole in the floorboard it sounds pretty good.
Thanks for the link I just may keep that in mind.
Wish it had that optional spoiler hahah,I've seen some folks use the 88-91 usdm spoiler on these also. With the right modifications it looks nice but some just bolt it on and go and it looks alittle wild.

Yea they seem expensive!!.You would think buying one of these cars back then you would definetely choose them with the spoiler because they are ugly without them.I have only came across 2 forsale online but then again that is a quick browse.

I had a 86 civic with a jdm engine in it before swaps were the in thing. My wife called her daisy. She looked like hell but there was no touching her motor wise.
I gave it away due to a strange electrical issue the mechanic could not figure out. I figured it out on my rex, frigging ignition switch failing.
I still occasion look for another one. There is a guy in lawrenceville that has a few in the parts list on craigslist could probably make one out of two.

Yes, they make them for the hatches as well, you just have to cut a piece of the header panel off and mold it to the fenders, or you can just leave it free floating. Heeltoeauto.com sells hoods for them. They take a while to receive though because they make them on request. Expect anywhere from 3-5 weeks.
That is pretty interesting. Now that I look it was the 2-piece front ordeal making me NOT like them as much same w/the hatch. They look nice w/just a whole piece.

Yeah, that's pretty much the way that everybody feels. These cars really have to grow on you. But, the long, one piece, carbon fiber hoods do make them look 10x better.

Or just have the hood welded to the header panel to make one solid piece. They are both metal on the hatches.
