How many people on here can say you have been married 20 years?

As of tomorrow we will be celebrating our 20th and I wouldn't change a thing.

She has put up with me for 20 years need I say more? :D

We just got in from celebrating and had a really good time. Looking for the next 20 to be just as exciting as the first. :goodjob:

Yeah. I was a high school drop out with a miserable childhood and really thought I was ready for my own family. Got screwed over several times but when I met my wife I knew she was the one. Of course she showed absolutely no interest and told me to get lost, she had no use for any kind of relationship until she got on her own two feet.

About 4 months later a friend called and said that her best friend needed somewhere to live after having a fall out with her mother. I needed help with my $300 a month rent so I agreed with no questions asked.

Knock knock guess who..... Ha Ha it was really weird and we didn't speak 5 words a week for the first few months but eventually we became good friends and within 6 months of sleeping across the hall from her we were married.

It was a very different road of travels but I wouldn't change a thing. Of course after we had our first child together (Nichole) we lived on medicaid, WIC and food stamps for the next 6-7 years praying that one day we would just make it to poverty level.

Funny how life works but I never question it. I am just along for the ride. :)

Sorry for the book but that is only a small glance at what we have experienced. ;)

I will make note of that but why wait 20 years?

Don't hate, you have no idea what your missing out on. Of course most people will never know with today's standards and morals but if you could find someone that you cared for enough to stay with them 20 years then maybe you'd understand. You Azzhat. :2up:

eh so far ive only considered marriage with one lady and we argued too much. 5 years and 2 months. highschool bullshit i reckon. haha
