Because VTEC kicks at 4500 and the light is to prepare you for the massive amount of G's you are about to experience... atleast, that's the only logical explanation I could come up with...

good thing. dont want to have such a fast car without the lowering springs.. might fly out of control.

aerodynamics are necessary at 100 mph in 3rd gear.

Yeah that makes since but even on vtec cars I've never seen it come on until redline. But we don't really use shift lights down here much, we just use the stock tach...Because none of use really have fully built cars YET....lolololol
