TDF can do it bc we used to do it all the time but hes like a ghost these days. u can try to call MSPi to see if hell do it. next best bet it to take it to diesel injection in forest park. kinda pricey but u get a year warranty with ur rebuild. i had a customer from out of twn with a turbo crx and his turbo took a shizzle and they rebuilt it under warranty with no questions asked.

My friend got a brand new ball bearing turbo from turbonetics and its smoked shortly after we put it on his car. new ones can smoke, rebuilt ones can too. Depending on the turbo it might be cheaper to get it rebuilt. depends on how much money he has i guess.

what needs to be rebuilt on it? if you mark the shafts and wheels, you can put those back so they are still balanced if you are just replacing seals.

New turbos can smoke, as well as old ones.
But no turbo should smoke without it being ran to hell or used for a long period of time.
IF it did, it's a piece of crap turbo or obviously you had a problem with something else other than your turbo(amt of psi, intclr, etc).
Do some research on turbos and buy a new one that you're pretty confident in.
Noone wants to ride a horse with a once broken leg, right??

I was about to say the same thing. Ive had NEW turbos that started leaking out the seals on the first dyno session.

It really easy too rebuild turbos, you can buy a rebuild kit online for like 40.00 and take the wheels and shaft to disel injection to get balanced for 35.00.

Their is only 2 C clips that hold the bearings and shaft inside the turbo. Only tools you need is a 13mm, a 11mm i think and a small hammer....

If that dont work get a BIG hammer and smash that POS!

That is how to do it yourself with a 14b... It should be pretty damn similar to other turbos as well.
