Why are we still paying close to 4.00 a gallon for gas when barrel of oil is 88.00.

We are getting charged like crude prices are 150.00 why is that?

Sammich I don't expect you to understand this but las week they said it would take 10 days for the gas thats in the lines from the places they just got back online to hit the SE(GA,SC, etc.)end of this week beginning of next week the prices will start to tumble again.

supply and demand.... still dont have stations that dont run out of gas. We are #2 in prices for gas in the nation, just under Alaska.

Should stabilize by next week but dont expect 2.00 gas.

We are getting charged like crude prices are 150.00 why is that?Because Jeebus thinks your car is homogay and doesn't want you to drive it any more. :boobies:

I've been doing that drive my entire life. The only way you do it in that amount of time is you leave at 2am and you hit NO traffic none. That is damn near impossible to do. 16 hours is about average.

alot of it is misreported info. There is a difference between oil prices today and speculators. It is my understanding the speculation market is predicting 88$ a barrel 30 days from now those are the prices you are hearing reported.

Guys be patient with the GAS.. GA has to catch up with what happened in texas... ****, we are now just getting back to normal.....

GAS prices will go down, the people in the FUEL business are aware of whats going on....

Just have to be patient... Unless you guys want cheap ass gasoline.. Move to Alabama.. lol

Who ever said they are going to open a GAS station go ahead.. and then come and make a post on how you make **** of GAS sales....

My supply chain professor says its because they shut the pipelines off that run from Texas because they were afraid of damage from the hurricanes. So, even though the price of oil per barrel has gone down, the gas prices haven't quite caught up yet, but we should see lower prices soon.

Whch way do you go? Like I said it also depends on when you leave. Half the time when I do it I get stuck in Baltimore. I usually average 80MPH. My family lives in Cranford/Kennilworth

i WAS BASING IT ON THE MILEAGE, My daughter lives 400 miles from here and i can drive 800 miles round trip in 12 hours, so i was basing it off mileage, since Englishtown is only 831 miles from ATL .

Yea then 14 hours shouldn't be a problem then. The biggest obstacle to getting 14 hours like I said is traffic around major cities(Baltimore/DC being the worst IMHO) and traffic on the Turnpike. Where in Jersey you headed?
