Howdy fellas.

So I'm looking at getting some work done on the Fit. Basically I'm going to copy the Honda Fit Sport Extreme concept Honda did at Sema a couple of years ago. My first car, an ef sedan, basically had the same paint job too (so its got an emotional connection to it).

I am keeping the car blue, the only thing i am copying is the stripe scheme.

Whats you opinion IA?

And yes I know its my car, and I should do what I want...:blah:

Just give me your opinion.

and those of you who haven't seen my car...

Just imagine it with 20% tint, and thats how it sits now.

Btw, it would only be the hood and upper bumper part, not the roof or lower bumper stuff, obviously (cause i don't have that kit).

your car looks way better than the orange one already IMO

hmm i think it would look good..
so it would be those exact colors?
what about the same blue with the stripe?

I think your car looks good as is, but I dont realy like the orange color, if thats what your asking. I think it would look good if you keep it blue and add the black areas on the front bumper, hood, and maybe the roof. Good luck

10-06-2008, 02:20 PM
no, no, no...sorry.

I would keep the blue.

It would just have the satin stripes.

Have somebody photoshop it on your car. I can only partially visualize it. I would offer to, but I am strapped for time.

but also for cash, so if properly compensated I would be persuaded to reconsider :ninja:

if you were goin to do something with your wheels i think it would look good, but to have that strip with your blue and then those wheels. might look wheird.

Yeah, Andy, I'd prolly get wheels to match if I did it.

hmm...ill say it like this:

if its done with true satin paint, and not spray bombed (which im sure you wouldnt) then it would look tolerable. However, i love fits that color, and i dont know if it would take away from the car.

but at the end of the day, like you said its your car, and you should do as you wish

good luck with whichever you choose

I like the way it is now, but I'm having trouble visualizing that. I think it could come out really well....or fall on it's face. lol

leave it the hell alone. I've never been one for stripes in the first place but I really don't think that your car with stripes would look good IMHO.

Thanks for all your opinions guys. Exactly what I was lookin for.

At this point I'm thinking its a little too risky for the payoff, especially when i need new shocks, tires, rear sway bar, etc.

If anybody wouldn't mind chopping up a demo, i'd appreciate it, but no big deal.

Leave your car alone, It's very sexy as it sits. That extreme paint job or what have you is ugly IMO

I had considered that, but I think right now I'm pretty much convinced against it all. I'm going to need new tires soon, so I'd do better to save up some cash, that way I can get T1Rs instead of some crappy Generals. :goodjob:

Do you have a car payment? If you dont own this then I'm pretty sure the bank would be nice and pissed you ****ed up their car. (Not your yet)

If you do own it, why do you want to **** up a new paint job? Every young person on this site with a new car keeps it a year max and then sells it because they can't afford it or totals it. Do vinyl if you must rice it out. Actually you can still see out of your windshield so you dont have enough stickers there yet either....

wow man. It was just an idea. :(

I don't think I have any problems keeping up the payments on a Honda Fit. Thanks for your concern though. I mean really, if was effed up, I'd just buy a new hood.

I appreciate the input man. I think i've been convinced against doing it.

My first car had it though with the whole panda theme, so I'm kinda partial to it. But like I said, fun money could be spent on cooler, more practical things.

buying it tomorrow.

But that gets written off on my taxes, as its use will be "work-related".

Man I had yokos on my EP and they were so loud. I do a lot of highway driving so comfort is a little more important for me that for most people. From the tires I've used, I have found the T1Rs to be the best combination of solid grip and tolerable noise/ride levels.
