I was involved in a similar accident about a year ago, Except I was sent to the hospital on a stretcher and good stuff.LOL

Anyway... depending on the guys insurance, the only way that it will be considered totaled is if the FRAME is cracked or broken... everything else is replaceable. Fairings, engine cases, forks, brake rotors..... and yes they will replace that before just totaling it out...

glad your ok and were able to walk away... I wasn't so lucky...

thats certainly not true.....my 03 r6 special edition was totaled with minimal damage....literally all it needed to be ridden was a clutch handle, the rest were scratches, dents, and cracks

but hey, glad all is ok....thats a pretty significant wreck to walk away from

yup, needless to say someone got one helluva track bike for cheap, the company that takes the insurance salvages had the bike sold before they ever shipped it to atlanta, it helps to only have one shop in town that does insurance work for sport bikes ;) over 5k in damage was their estimate, but i paid $5300 for the bike, had it about 4 mos. and the insurance cut me a check for close to $7k, so i made out like a bandit
