It'd work on a Mini...I think.

I guess he figured glass on the roof has been done by quite a few companies, carbon fiber on the roof has already been done by BMW...let's do it different!

I'm planning on doing my roof in granite actually.

like tdurr said, if it was a nicer brighter color, or closer to the wood color itself, it would look much better. as of now....hmm no. his car though so if he likes it then its straight. :goodjob:

Shoot mane, you need to take your targa top to go get wooded!!!! I say a dark cherry would fit you! HAHAHA. You gotta come over to the new house next weekend. We are gonna have dustin, ben, edlee, and all those fools over. I better see you there with your new wood top:crazy:

If the wood was darker, like a cherry or something. That would look sick. Also on the trunk and/or hood. Very sexy.

That would be cool, but at the same time...I don't see it working on a car like the Honda. Maybe something boxier like a Mini I mentioned earlier...or an older Volkswagen Jetta/Golf...as I've seen they do crazy stuff with their cars.

humm...some work went in to getting to to fit and look right...

Its a sticker. Or at least a taped on veneer. He said that its fake and waterproof. I theorize that it is no thicker than a thick sticker.

Real wood can be properly integrated in a modern vehicle exterior...

http://www.finalsense.com/news/image/auto/edag-luv-concept.jpg

But this execution on H-T fails. The color of the car does not lend well with this wood grain what so ever.

Another example:

Keep trying ricers... your ideas might lure you from your perpetual failures.

..is that too harsh? Maybe he just wanted to get a feel for the idea with some cheap veneer before he decides to do a proper job. If that is the case then I believe he is trying to do some proper work. Until I hear this is or is not true I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

dam its hard owning a honda...this is what you all must resort too...lol

maybe he should stain the wood darker it would set it off a little.

i think im gonna wrap my roof in goat penis flesh...

Why the hell you gotta link that god forsaken website, why not hot link the photos or attach them to the post! I don't want to give them the hits lol!

I hate the replies more than the creativity of veneering a car with wood. "Better than every other honda that paints their roof black or overlays it with carbon fiber just because it's "JDM" .." The stupid bitch Ms. Sheila that said that needs to be kicked in the mouth...hell anyone referring to JDM on anything other than OEM honda parts not found in the US needs to be curb kicked, JDM is not a style and it's not a trend.

With a dark paint job i would have used a zebrawood or an african blackwood veneer instead. Pine is too country for an import lulz.

Punch a hole in it with a screw driver and you can cut the entire thing off with tin snips in seconds.

I'm sure the wood is a veneer overlayed on the metal anways. Wouldn't have to worry about hail damage with a wood roof! haha!
