New Car Meet in Winder. Whos Interested??

A couple of buddies of mine and me are trying to start a new car meet in winder. The meet would be every wednesday around 9 or 930 to let people get off of work. I know there is a sonic meet on thursdays in winder but the parking lot we have scoped out is much bigger and can support more cars. Its in the Goodwill parking lot off of Hwy 8 in Auburn. Just getting ideas right now to see how many people would attend and try and get a new meet started. Would love to meet some new people in the car world and see what people have done to their cars. If you are interested just post a reply and tell all of your friends and lets try and make this happen.

Do you have permission from the business or do they serve food? If they don't serve food then your probably not going to be allowed there without getting ticketed for loitering.

We would be interested for sure but some of your ideas may need a little re-thinking.

Feel free to shoot me a PM anytime you do anything in the area and we will try to make it. The earlier the better.

yea nothing is set in stone as of now. just getting ideas of where a good place is since the sonic has a small parking lot. any other ideas on big open spaces let me know. ill go check them out

Maybe Beef O' Bradys in the publix shopping center up the road a half a mile? They have food and a big parking lot???

We would need permission from the property owner to keep from getting harassed by the city/county PD although it says in state law that they can not do that they still do because most police officers are to ignorant to read the law and tell what it actually says. But I would still get permission from the property owner, just in case its the end of the month and they haven't met their quota.

very interested!!! we can use that parking lot in front of goodwill in between taco bell and pizza hut? it sounds like a very good idea. its in the middle of the gwinnett meets and the meets that happen in athens once in awhile. it could be a great spot to get started up!:goodjob:

The owner of Zaxbys in winder is pretty cool, he has a c6 vette and im sure he would let us park there, but theres not a whole lot of room unless we use some of autozones?

the beef o bradys one sounds better since we can just hit up the bar whenever we want. but the beef o bradys or zaxbys sound good. pick which one is better and ill go talk to the managers if we got enough people to get a weekly meet going

Ditto on Beef's. The Thursday meets are no more than once a month.

dont be stupid and follow the speed limit. ive never had any cop problems in auburn. if they got the seating for it ill be in there with whiteboy drinking a cold one if anyone else wants to join. more then likely be on the patio if the weather doesn't get too cold

Yeh, beefs in winder in the publix complex right behind blockbuster. They have a good bit of tables outside too, enough for at least 30+.

It will always be a little weird with my old azz being around young-ins but it was definitely an awesome meet and we enjoyed it enough to come back when the next one arrives.
