2002 WRX is mine mine mine.

I got my first code though. P0244 so far that i know its all stock and it seems that most people are saying this is due to exhaust or something...but mine is stock.

Any suggestions? I cleared it and it came back in 4th gear. 3,400 rpm

IIRC you are JC Bates; my former buyer :D Congrats on finding one man! I got your email about the parts. I will reply in a few.

I sent you Alex's contact for registering on WRXatl.

Wow, thats crazy. The guy who was buying my car lives in Alpharetta and emailed me that he bought a black 02. Also, he couldn't register on WRXatl. Creppy....

Anyway, congrats!

FYI: That code is PO244 Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid A Range/Performance. Are you sure that car was not modified? Did you buy it from a dealer or private party? Seems like you may be overboosting...do you have an aftermarket downpipe?

Give TopSpeed a call and they can give you the symptoms/remedies for the problem.

Well I went to autozone today to pull and clear the check engine code...I look under the dash and see these unplugged but i'm not sure where they plug into. Any ideas? There was also a green one unplugged but i was able to find the mate for that.

These are under the driverside dash towards the front. The clear/white end is unplugged and the black end is unplugged.

TopSpeen huh. I'll give them a call in a few.

That is very scary that someone from alpharetta is buying a 02 black wrx and can't register. I STILL can't register and the admin never responded.

Those green connectors need to stay unplugged. They are called "test connectors." Clipping them together puts the car in test mode. You are getting that code due to overboost. It looks like one of the boost control vacuum lines is unplugged. You are currently running what we call "infini-boost" and will do damage to that motor quickly if you don't fix it.

When the obsession started. Crazy to look back at old posts and realize how things have changed. Miss that car/era in my life.
