Ok, well just wanted one more reminder for IA for the 2008 Petit Le Mans Powered By The New Mazda 6 this weekend October 1-4 at Road Atlanta.

Anyone interested come watch Audi and Peugeot battle it out and a good GT battle. The race is 10 hours/1000 miles whichever comes first.

Peugeot had a hard crash during Saturday's test session but the car was repaired and back on track Sunday.

Mazda is there with their new closed cockpit prototype.

You know if the 908 is the one with the "KERS" system? The 908 HY.

I'm not sure, the Zytek was supposed to also be testing it and possibly using it in the race, not sure if this Peugeot has it this event.

my dad was saying that with the change that they made for the bikes might give the IRL a reason to finally come, reason being thats the reason that they havent come in the past because it was too fast...tha would be awesome.

Yes we have seen it of course ;) Old news lol.

It's a LOT safer, tons of runoff for a bike, and not that fast. We have yet to have a problem with it, Kevin Schwantz school even uses it.

I'm gonna see if I can't get Friday off. I might try to convince Jonny to go up there Friday and stay overnight and come back after the main event.

Either way Dan, we'll have to meet up.

Anyone else worried about all the wrecks in T12 if they might do something about it?

That bad crash with the Zytec was due to suspension failure and the driver was fine. I don't think the cars were in any real danger. Also consider that the cars will be slower next year anyway so the track should be fine. I hope.

The t.v coverage on speed was way behind the actual running. I was on the phone with my buddy and I told him about the accident w/the porsche and the audi and he said it was still sunny outside and Adrian Fernandez just crashed. I said that was hours ago and it's dark out here.

we had it playing in the RV at the track. we didn't care to time the actual delay, but it was wayyyyyyy behind. guess they can still call an hour ago "live".

I def. enjoyed myself.

Pretty good race, although I was hoping to see Peugeot take the overall win. The Aston Martin was pure sex as well.
