i have a 94 EG sedan with a D15B7 , i am puttin on a z6 head(i have the P28,harness, and dizzy) this weekend , i would like to know what head gasket i should use and also , if i shave teh head , how much should it be shaved and what kind of compression #'s would i be lookin at? also what gains could i expect? (its late and i dont feel like hittin up H-T atm) so any help and advice would be greatly appreciated! thanx in advance:cheers:

im not sure wich head gasket you would use on a frankenstein motor if thats what this is but youre not gonna get any reasonabley higher compression numbers if you just shave the head to make sure its flat, wich is reccomended you do if you change a head gasket.

Go to Dover Head. It might be a drive for you but I promise you it is the best decision regarding your heads. They can give you ever answer you need. Ask for Jesse, tell him Anthony at A to Z with the mustang sent you. REALLY nice guy. You'll still be able to run the stock OEM one or go to a Cometic gasket.

get an after market one just b/c... metal > paper!

the i have forgotten all my head work math so idk about compression! but there is never anything wrong with shaving the head IMO. if nothing else shave and plane it so its so sessi! and i'd recommend doing new head studs/bolts etc etc simply b/c over time they stretch out and no reason in risking such a nice bit of work  go get'm laddy!

use d16y8 head gasket

this guy is correct use a d16y8 headgasket they are a mls (multi layer steel) gasket and you can remove the middle layer of the headgasket for a little bump in compression without shaving or milling the head.
