I got a 98 civic wanting to do a front conversion. I got all the parts to swap just not the radiator support. Question is I know the 99 front don't mount on perfect without the radiator support. Does it look good without changing the radiator support? someone have any pics? any help thanks

There are two metal tabs on the old frame which you can cut/bend and it'll fit.

You REALLY need to do the radiator support. Try to find a body guy who will work on the side. It'll only take him like 30-1hr to swap it out.

if you're picky and anal, get the support. Its not needed but the results will be better.

Although I've seen some frontend conversion without it, and it looked like it rolled out the factory like it.

I guess its a hit or miss...

drilling out old support, and welding in new support is not fun....

if your experienced in welding and use spot weld drill bits it isn't that bad. I just wanted to see if it looks clean without changing the radiator support.

its not that, its the process of removing the old support and aligning the new one perfectly... cause its tricky to cleanly remove a old one and then perfectly align a new one, especially if the new one is just an old one from another car

I have a 99-00 front end on my 98... I think I have a new radiator support but who knows, they body shop put it on for me. Anyway, it lines up betetr then my old front end did.
