southside
09-28-2008, 08:30 AM
Yea bad part is they arent running out of gas people are just filling up more! What is the point of you filling your tank up soon as u get to 3/4s.My mom said some oil refinery has a shortage of workers, due to the hurricane tearing up their houses. But I dont know whatever it is people need to fix it.Because my car is about to be back on the road and I dont have time to be searching for premium.

My dad pumped all kinds of trash and **** in his truck yesterday. Fuel in the tank is nearly black, the truck broke down less then 5 miles after he got the gas.

this is all a joke, I think everyone in the USA shouldnt buy gas for 2 days straight an this will hurt them an make them wake up! and stop all this BS , from gas prices now to this ...

southside
09-28-2008, 12:17 PM
It wouldnt hurt nothing ,because people still have to get where they are going.Only thing that will help is get all the people that run gas refinerys. And start whooping ass

yes because they measure profit on a weekly basis not daily, besides everything would even out on the 3rd day.

Tech5
09-28-2008, 12:41 PM
they cannot make up millions on the 3rd day if they avg 3 million a day an they lost 6 million in 2 days they cant make that up on 1 day

Thank you. Some people are so dumb on here, that they think if we buy gas today and stock up, and don't spend on gas the next few days, we are harming the companies. Did you not get the simple fact that you just bought twice your consumption and just gave them that much more profit?

As for the people saying there is dirt and other stuff, do you really know the mechanics of an underground gas pump? Do you really think they will spend millions of dollars refining crude oil to make it the quality gas we pump, without taking the dirt out? I'm sure there are some particles, but nothing as far as that would just clog up our injectors or mess up a fuel pump or something.

thats true, if we dont stock up just dont buy for 2 days then we will hurt them! but if we all stock up an max out to go on strike then yes they dont get hurt...What I am saying will never happen .But what I am saying is out of anger an stress....But If we dont buy but what we need an stop panicing and filling barrels an drums, gas cans, etc an just go with the flow we all will be better off...Stop long trips,an riding around showing off your cars, wasting gas then we will be better off too!

Don't pump gas for a day will not work. Just think a regular businessman who pumps a half tank every day for his business. So his tank lasts him two days. So one day, he goes without pumping gas(for gas strike purpose). So the next day instead of pumping half a tank, he will just end up pumping a full tank cause he didn't pump yesterday. He still has to drive around because that's his business.

thats one guy..Make 500 Million people do the same on the same day an see what happens

First off the population of America is around 300 Million, and out of that, only a fraction drive. Out of that fraction, only a fraction really need to drive for their living. By the time we group that out, it's a waste of time since we can only do it for a day. The best thing to do, is when the Georgia gas situation gets situated, stop buying from Exxon and Mobile since they are biggest companies. If we don't buy from them, they will decrease the prices. Have you ever noticed that Exxon and Mobil gas prices are always like 30 cents higher than the gas stations around them?

That happened to my dad a few years ago. looked like the same stuff. the gas station was 2 miles away from home, barely made it home.

He got told never fill up gas when the tanker is pumping gas into the tanks. Got told this by a tanker driver.

here is one I've been using for locating gas.
