Are there any institutions that will finance a 1999 yr model car as an AUTO LOAN?

Before I go get a personal loan, I want to see if there is a chance to do a used car auto loan. Many institutions consider Pre 2003 too far out.

Any input is welcome.

you can try going to secondary financial institutions. they should be able to help you out, but don't expect a low rate. the older the car, the higher the rate.

Older cars will most definately have a higher intrest rate, but loans are get increasingly harder to find the lower your credit score is. If you have a high score then most banks will be able to stretch their typical standards a bit to accomodate.

A customer of mine financed a 93 Del sol from me years ago, they had to supply collateral in the form of her mothers Acura TL.

Loan Parameters have changed so you'll have to call around.
