Business Logo Concept - Need Opinions

So I'm looking to open my anime store here in the next year or so, with the online store opening even sooner if things keep working out the way they are. I'm currently designing a logo that's attractive and, yes, "cute" to appeal to the fanbase. Considering how a majority of anime revolves around cute characters and what-not, I need a logo to reflect that. Here's what I've put together so far:

An anime-based webforum thats for like 12 to 18 year old fans.The Gaia "G" was a source of inspiration as you can tell by how the "R" loops in on itself. I was on Gaia few years ago so the image kind of stuck in my head. The wings on the left side are based on the logo and designs seen in Cardcaptor Sakura. :goodjob:

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I should have some other color pallets and what-not up before long.

the "R" kinda reminds me of the naruto's konoha symbol

in your initial drawing the curly looks painted (like a brush stroke) that is very reminiscent of asian (japanese specifically) culture through the traditional written art. I think the brush stroke texture would look good on the logo, however it would need some reworking. :2cents:

I think about the brush stroke thing though. This is just a concept for now. I'll be trying other styles of the same logo. :goodjob:
