Get the autoloc 35lb kit, its like 250 bucks, and comes with everything you need. except the spring poppers, but its a great kit, i have it, and it pops the del slo doors open easy.

Man I have a question I got these door poppers on my neon how bad does this drain your battery? and is there a way to prevent this Oh and this guy on IA has been trying to sell some universal autolock for I think 150 still in package might want to check that out might save you an $100 if your serious about getting them in response to the person wanting to shave door handles on a teg.

i knw it seems strong..but.. i was reading the ones that said they were better in daily use..and seeing i drive my car and need to open my door 5 times a day...i figured hey...guess these are what i should get.

and about the battery issue. ive had them on for a year. no problems. however, i would recomend getting a new battery if you're is relativly old. mine was, and it gave me trouble. but once i got a new one, no problems what so ever.

Yeah I got the new battery but I don t have it wired up one of my driver side popper got wet so Im thinking about just taking my passenger side down and hooking up my driver door to pop so I can get in and out.

You can pop doors with just 15lbs. I've been using 15's DAILY for 2 years, no problem from autoloc. I've seen 15 lbs. on f-150 and suck. You really only need 35lb plus if you ur using then on a old hot rod or hoods.

it all depends on how you rig up the pulling mechanism fo rhte latch, and where you place the popper at.

I have 35s, and it pushes the door out abou the length of my elbow to hand, but make sur eyou lubricate the solenoids also, my passenger side is stuck right now, and i had to do it to me driver side once also.

I m having problems with my door popper. They are staying in and not releasing, pops door open than stays frozen what should I do any ideas is it getting to much power 30 amp fuse in now but blows 15 amp. I dont have much knowledge about this.

35 is more than enough. I've owned about 5 shaved vehicles all with 35s. For mini trucks or sport compacts this is fine. If you're going to shave a full size or a street rod that have 11ty bajillion pound doors then you would want something stronger. IMO it being a daily driver doesnt matter a bit.

lubricate it with SILICONE. the spray lube stuff, and cycle it a few times by hand

neontuner95

Really you think that'll work , so can I get this stuff at pepboys?

neontuner95

Cause man i notice it wont even disengage unless I take out the fuse or loosen the ground.

Whats this spring popper? why doesnt it come with the kit? And how much does it cost?

YokotaS13

they are around 2o bucks for hte pair, its basically a plate that has a shaft on it with a rubber thing on the end, there is a spring behind it and it screws into the plate, you rivet it to the door, and when yuo close it, it compresses the spring and when you hit the button on the remote for hte solenoid it aids in "popping" the door out
