So i have a 91 DA teg and i recently swapped a b17a1 gsr in it. The problem is that the car idles like at 2k and idk what it could be. I replaced the sensor on the back of the mani but still nothing changes. Anyone kno what the deal is? lmk...thanx!:D

well the shell has some vaccumes that are made for the old ls mani. but not all of these vaccumes are used up by the gsr mani. i guess cause the car is 0bd0 and the motor is obd1? anyone kno how i can fix this?:thinking:

probably a small vacuum leak, or either the throttle cable may be too tight...

it may be a vaccum leak. cause i tried everything already. like loosening the throttle cable, retarding the distributor and lowering the rev by messing around with the screw located on the throttle body...any one kno how i can make all the vaccumes work?
probably a small vacuum leak, or either the throttle cable may be too tight...

check to see the throttle cable could be too tight or a vacuum leak does it hesitate when you pressthe gas or is it a really goodresponse?

get carburetor spray and spray all around IM when engine is started up, while spraying carburetor, see if the motor chokes, if it does then your IM casket needs to be changed or your throttle body casket, or clean out your iacv valve.

it gives a pretty good response but i kno it can be way better than how it is now...but even if the cable is tight or loose it still idles high...

thats not a bad idea...ill try that along with some other things aswell. cause i hate being at a light and my car is the loudest one...lol!

my b17a1 worked fine with stock manifold in my del sol . wut ecu are you running ? the p61 ?

Check for vacuum leaks. Trace all your hoses see if any are cracked/broken or just hanging. Does the idle stay at 2k? or it bounces up an down.

na im running a chipped 0bd0 pr3...what mani do you have? the stock one that came off the b17s?
