My Itouch was just sitting there in that corner, getting ready to be sold, but not anymore :D. There is this new program called Dynolicious which is made for the Itouch or Iphone. Check it out....it seems to be amazing. Has anyone seen it or have any reviews? Im buying it as we speak, it's only $12, you pay more than that just for the entrance ticket at a dragstrip let alone the gas to get up there.

yeah, think there was a thread about this a while ago. It seemed pretty cool, if it was accurate.

For people who are getting this, just a little note. You have to have version 2.0 or higher. No problem updating firmware, just that you have to pay a small fee.

Guys, I just bought this and it's amazingly accurate on my Apple Itouch (not Iphone, but works on both). Just one little kink is that if your car vibrates a lot, you have to shut your car off before the run, so that it can calibrate without vibration. Other than that, its accurate up to .1 off 1/4 time and .5 off mph. It's really awesome, I got one good run in on the 1/8the mile and it was really accurate.

It seems that the I's (Itouchs and Iphones) were built in with an accelerometer or G-sensor. They just hadn't developed the software for it or the firmware. That's why you have to upgrade to a 2.0 firmware or higher. Or if you are a new buyer, the new I's will come installed with the new firmware. But it's free to upgrade anyways.

You can even set a rollout length, you know, like the sensor doesn't go off at the track till you leave 12 inches off the line. Just like that, there a couple more cool features. I especially liked one which was the skidpad, which is also very accurate in all directions.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is a track enthusiast, weekend racer, or just anyone who loves to see what their car can do. One of the hassles you don't have to go through unlike the G-Tech is installing wires. In the G-Tech, you have to install wires to you cig lighter wire, etc. In the I's, everything is already built in. To be honest, the I's have technology far beyond their years. I would have bought this even if it was three times the price, its still better than the cheapest G-Tech($199).

So I give it a 5 out of 5.

Oh and I just read somewhere that they are in the works for something for you Autocross/X guys :goodjob:. So keep an eye on their website.

Keep the Ipod as vertical and stable as possible. Mouting the Ipod would be the best option. The hardest thing to do is find an empty spot to go flat out 1/4 mile + safe braking distance ;)

I'll tell you right now that the hardest part is finding an straight empty road. But since I couldn't go far enough for the 1/4 yet, my 1/8 was like 8.8 spinning thru first and second at like 83 mph. I need grip

But im not even supposed to be running hard right now, O2 messed up and untuned.

I know for a fact the accelerometer used in the Iphone is more accurate then the one used the "G-Tech Pro" kit. So in a way it's probably the most accurate you could get short of an expensive data logger. I've used it several times and it seems very close
