having some issues.... when I turn the volume up loud after a while the sound becomes distored like a crackling sound but once I turn the HU on standby and turn it back on the sound is fine until I turn the volume up again. I want to upgrade by system a little down the line . I gotta get this volume thing fixed first its getting on my nerves!

sounds like you are clipping the amp or head unit.
