Here's the deal, a car rear ended a truck, that truck rear-ended me, I then rear ended another truck. The truck I hit, left the scene. The fault is on the car in the rear. The girl at fault has State Farm as her insurance company. Any ideas how State Farm might handle this?

My car's value:
KBB private party= $6,000
KBB retail value= $7,750
NADA clean retail= $6,000

Damage repair estimates from VERY reputable shops in town:
#1= $5,022 (she barely even looked at the car)
#2= $6,333
#3= $5,600

You may be looking at a total loss there if those numbers hold true. What are you hoping for?

You also need to understand that KBB typically estimates values on the high side. The insurance companies will most usually be using the Black Book that has the numbers that all dealers and banks go off of. :goodjob:

The F-150 behind me was only going 5-10mph before he got hit and he was at a very safe distance from me (before he got hit, lol)

your car is gone.

they will give you the lowest of the bluebook values. also if you have any mods i say take them off w/state farm.

hold out and dont accept payment untill you receive what your comfortable with, sometimes what they offer out the gate is good enough but sometimes its not. its the adjusters job to spend as little as possible.

Yea, if they don't give you a fair amount I say turn their offer down. My gf had her insurance company pay for her car and then State Farm reimbursed them. So her company didn't really screw her since it was coming from someone elses pocket.
