View Full Version : Aimed for coffee&cream:
Well Soon I'll have my next hatch project going and it will need to be painted.
I have went over so many colors in my head.Midori green, DAP and a few other colors. But I have settled on a nice coffee and cream color.More dark than light but not brown, It is more along the lines of the a crx I seen in a mag a few years back.(pictured)(off honda-tech)
I have only 2 set's of wheels picked out and I am not sure if I'd like to color match the wheel and keep the lips polished/machined or keep the wheels black w/polished/machined lip?.
The first and main set of wheels I have been eying are the AXIS og-san's(1inch lip) and the second wheels are the Rota rb's(blackracing/enkei/other) copies.
If anyone has some input I'd like to hear it.Choosing wheels for a car to make the appearance that much better is always rough for me.
Thanks for any help.

That CRX is history.
Stupid gangster lean radiator. Fail.
US WW front bumper with JDM headlights. Fail.
VIN plate added on a race car. WTFail.
Oh nevermind, you weren't looking for input on that car. I almost never like color-matched wheels.

I like the color. Don't color match the rims though. Go with black with a polished lip.
[Can't wait until y'all see the color I picked for my Si.]

Yea that car was used to show the color close to what I am aiming for nothing more. The factory almond cream is way to light for my taste.
I might go for the rota rb's 15x7 +25mm offset keep the lip paint the wheel black.I can not find the 15x7 4x100 that color only the 13x8.All of the 4x114's and 5x100's come in black.
 Maybe I can find them some where.

I know you chose that pic only for the color. That doesn't mean car isn't garbage tho :lmfao:
I think that color will look good on a car that is well done. Just remember not to take shortcuts like the person who's car you posted and it will look great. :goodjob: There's another crx that color on H-T that everyone think is so "godly" You may want to look at some ef pic threads there to get a better example.

And now the color has been changed.I do not see many coffee/cream colored cars around but I just had to change my mind. The color I chose was amazing but I found a color from a 2009 vehicle I just had to have on my next project.I wont say yet but hopefully I can start a build thread soon as I find a clean enough 88-91.

So you dont have the car yet?
Nope in the market.:goodjob: I've owned my fair share though.Im always stuck on what I want between 88-89 integra's/88-91 civic's and 90-93 itnegras.Since they change stylings between years I have a hard time choosing.hahahhahahahhahaa
I've been wanting a different color than what you would normally see going down the road for years but never get around to doing it.
