93 octane - WTF? this gas situation is ridic

alot of stations are out of gas and 93 is impossible to find. i pass approx 7 stations on the way to work on a 10 mile stretch... 1 had 93 - 3 were completely out.

I'm just laughing at someone I know who bought a car that requires premium and couldn't afford it before all this gas bs got bad. Lol

That would raise you to 87.3 octane in a full tank. Just use 87 and stay out of boost. The fd stays in the garage and I'm driving the Montero until this gets figured out.

Have you modded the Montero since you got it?

I have no choice but to use premium, or at least that's what the manufacturer suggests...

It's the same way in SC right now...Most stations are out of every grade of gas and it sucks....

my dub will run but really bad on 87... i did that once before on my 1.8t - it sputtered like crazy and idled really bad. both my dub/benz req 91+

should of waited and got TDI :lmfao:

idk why they dont have premium...i mean most people use regular, logically they should be out of regular right?Actually, most cars these days run on premium fuel only.

Luckily enough my Mustang, despite being an 08, has 40 year old technology in it so it can run on swamp gas! Hooray!

That's why i'm keeping the car that requires premium in the garage for a few. I've got 2 others that I'm working with that can run on 87 and 89 so i'll be good.

I searched around forever around Lawreceville.
All only have regular.

I had to drive all the way to the Shell on Satellite and Steve Reynolds.

They had Premium for $4.29. (while a Texaco had premium for $4.79)

if you need gas in lawrenceville you need to go to sugarloaf/29/five forks area...

racetrac, murphys, ingles, texaco, shell, citco, qt, bp, cheveron... someone always has gas... murphys at walmart has had the cheapest and been full since sh!t went down. i want to say there were at 3.75 today. now finding 93 is a whole other situation :lmfao:

wow... hope they get their sh!t straight before my trip down there.. I use 93 in my hatch, but I will use 87 as a last ditch. . I find it odd how they are having this problem w/ fuel. .

Hwy 92 from Alpharetta Hwy to I-575, not one gas station had fuel. There was a QT near my house that had regular and it was a nightmare getting in there. I got a quick splash and left in a hurry. It's crazy.

monkey, you really dont need to run 93 in ur hatch if its a stock motor... ur just pissing money away... i tried a few tanks in teh teg when i had it, and didnt notice any difference at all. no performance differences, NOR mileage differences.

i wish my car could take 87... the 04's with the ls1's can be programmed with an 87 octane map that just takes alot of timing out of it, but my car wont accept that :(

I prefer to use 93 after working at a gas station and learning of the mix and match crap they do w/ the lower grades... plus using a higher grade burns cleaner... not doing it for a performance end...

QT off sugarloaf and 316 was out last night, but this morning they were full of everything. I'm driving benz today, but I am filling the WRX up after work. Hopefully something is left there!

should of waited and got TDI :lmfao:Really? I've got a 2.0T A4 which also requires 91+, but I can't find any, so I've had to use 87. And so far, I've had no noticeable difference than using 93 all the time.

SOME stations will say they are out of all grades except premium, jack up the price sky high, and sell it first.

Stations don't keep as much premium in the tanks and they are smaller tanks IIRC. So if there is a rush on the fuel it will go out.

More cars on the road take regular so if regular is out it is going to get filled up first.

the whole as situation is bs

gas prices has more than tripled since bush became president. I blame everything on him.

Why do stupid people blame/credit the most powerless person in government with everything? This is why so many other countries have presidents who're acknowledged as figureheads and who take the blame for everything bad, while the rest of the government can get on with the business of governing.

Bush controls gas prices. Bush controls the poor lending practices and artificially inflated real estate values.

Wow.
