WTF v. weird georgia state patrol run-in

so im on my way home from work just now. stop and go traffic. theres a GSP patrol car in front of me so I'm extra sure to leave plenty of room, do the speed limit, etc. Im behind him for like 10 miles. Eventually, traffic clears up a bit, and hes doing like 10 under the speed limit (which is posted RIGHT there, 55 mph). I put on my blinker, check my mirrors, change lanes perfectly. No cars behind me. I a few mph UNDER the speed limit next to him.

He stares over directly at me for a while, and I kinda try to ignore it cause hes making me nervous. My windows are down. Still doing the speed limit. Suddenly, he chirps his siren. I look over at him, and hes still staring right at me. I start to slow down a bit and hes slowing down with me, so he obviously wants me for something. I put my blinker on and slowly pull into a long turning lane and come to a stop, turning the car off. Hes right behind me, calling something in on the radio.

A few minutes pass, I look back and it looks like hes waving me forward. I keep looking, he does it again. I slowly start the car, and put on my blinker to make sure he wants me moving, thinking he wants me to find a better place to pull over. He starts moving too so I figure ok cool. I bust a u-turn and pull over... only to look back and see that hes sped off in the opposite direction.

:thinking: wtf? its not window tint, cause the windows were down and he didnt see my back window. its not a tag problem, cause he never saw my tag... and its fresh and legal anyway (just got the car a week ago- tag, title, insurance are all taken care of). my music wasnt particularly loud. My exhaust is pretty loud but I was casually cruising in 4th/5th gear so I dont see why that would cause it. im not black so its not some racist profiling a$shole :lmfao:. i have no idea what the hell that was all about.

There is this perfect up hill s-bend going towards the entrance I'm doing the speed limit chillin thinkin about my frosty I'm about to enjoy when 3 cops in some barelling in on my side of the street at like 50 so I hopped up on the curb to avoid a head on collision about pissed my pants.

I get back on the road and look back and the last cop has slammed on his brakes flips a U and comes after my lights sirens the whole shibang like i just robbed a house or something.So I pull over and he starts with the usual lights and registration garbage so I ask him if there's a problem and he's like just let me see it. :thinking: Ok and I give it to him. Well my plates say Mass. My insurance says my Dad's house and my license says my mom's so he starts giving me the 3rd degree calls my Dad at 3AM to confirm the address of our house and then let's me go without appologizing for almost hitting me :2up: . Never did get a reason as to why I was pulled over either :lmfao: :thinking:

cops do that! it happened to me.


i drove past the courthouse one day as a cop was pulling out. he followed me through a few lights as well as a left turn. i didnt even do anything mind you. he finally pulled up beside me while i was driving and started talking to me(yelling because we were still doing 45 down the road). he said my dads name and asked how he was doing. im like :???: how did you even know im his son? he just said i was bored so i ran your plate. he just smiled and kept driving.


turns out him and my dad were partners when my dad was a cop on base.
