i have been curious on how to accuratly tune the 5.0, if i get the MAF to match the injectors is that all i really need to get the air fuel ration right? i have a Jet Performance chip and when i took apart the engine i noticed alot of carbon. i want to make sure i get a good tune. any suggestions would be great thanks

if you want a place that can tune it i would suggest Modular Powerhouse ( cartersville), Bamachips ( Jasper, AL).

Even with a matching MAF you still need to get the timing tuned as well as if you have any aftermarket items such as exhaust, manifold etc a custom tune is definitely needed.. Check out corral dot net which is a WEALTH of Mustang information and you'll definitely get some help there.. I'm a modular guy and I know what the tuning is like for mine but not sure if it's the same for a foxbody or not.. I have SCT myself.

Good luck..

OR you can sell me your fox as I've been wanting to build one up for some time :) :lmfao:

Get Scott at Coupe Performance to tune it.

Megasquirt will work on a mustang. If you notice a lot of carbon in the motor you might want to check and make sure that you're maf is correct for the injectors and then take it to a shop that can tune an EEC IV or you can go with an aftermarket ecu but either way the stock settings are crap when you start adding some aftermarket stuff.
