so i have a $$ 5.00 bet with my buddy that a B16 shortblock only, no trans weighs less than 400 lbs. can anyone show me proof of this? i know i am right but i have searched forever and i can't find any hard numbers only speculation?????? lolzzz:thinking: i want my five soft tacos dammit!!!!!! :bump:

i can pick up my shortblock.. and have before.
i'd say 300 lbs engine/trans dry weight.

a B16 tranny actually weight around 90
so around i would say 220 with clutch and flyweel

full longblock, not shortblock. head weighs another 40-50 lbs with everything
