d series transmission questions.

i dont know if any one has does this before. but i want to know if its possible to put a hf cable transmission internals and put them into a hydro case? would i have to install a new clutch or are the splines the same on dseries clutch disks? thanks in advance.

cable tranny splines are different ... and i have heard of people doing this ... but cant clarify it ... i think one of my friends has done this b4 .... i think u can look it up on d-series.org .... or google it .. there is a website where people put like 1 or 2 gears out of the cable tranny into a S20 ..

thanks for the info john! i want to try and use all the hf internals. i think the gear ratios are the same but that the final drive is whats diffrent. please correct me if i am wrong.

no there are some Shorter gears in the hf an so forth cable trannies ... but not that you can tell like between a b16 and Ls b series tranny ...some of the gear ratio's are the same ... and some are diff .
