Sorry, but when you have a valid reason for only running from a roll... like... way too much HP to EVER hook from a dig... then it might be ok.

However in your case... your car doesn't fall into that category.

There's nothing interesting to me about 2 / 13 second cars going from a 20 mph punch just because YOU can't drive worth a ****.

And BTW, I am still running the stock gears. First runs to 50-60, second to 75-85, and third runs out to over 100-110 depending on the size tire I have in the rear of the car.

Having gears doesn't magically make a car suck from a rolling start, especially not in my case considering the flat ass torque curve from 2800-6400 rpm. There's nothing magical about my car from a dig, I just figured out how to launch an IRS car which most people have problems with.

My car isn't set up to do anything. It's a stock GTO with intake and exhaust. It's no more prepared for a dead stop run than his S2k, or any other car on this site.. with the slight advantage going to most of the AWD vehicles.

I've just been an avid fan of watching ignorant kids go out and spend 2k+ on adding HP to a vehicle, and it running the exact same quarter mile times as some people can run stock.

Say you suck as a driver, and take a bonestock 05 GTO and run a 13.6 doing the absolute best you can.

Now say Thacker takes the same car, and runs a 13.0 Technically, you'd have to add about 60 rwhp to run that same 13.0 as Thacker.... so my driving ability is a money saver if you will.

You aren't racing on my "terms". You are simply doing a drag race from a dead stop, as has been done for decades. The only portion that should even be debatable should be the finish line.. either 1/8th or 1/4th.

The only reason you want to go from a roll is you know that POS can't hook, and that you can't drive it.

No roll racing does not require the same skill as launching the car does, but it requires driving skill and knowing your car as well.

Thacker calls out people he knows aren't familiar with launching their car from a dig. He should honor others' callouts for roll racing, especially if there's no money on the line and if they are willing to honor his dig race. He talks **** about people who can't drive from a dig when I think he refuses to do rolls because he can't drive from a roll. He knows how to get his car moving but not pick it up from where its already in motion.

On the other hand, wasn't there a thread recently where Thacker agreed to a roll? Did that ever go down?

If one racer excepts the conditions of another racer then the other racer should, out of respect and courtesy, except the original racer's terms. Thacker seems to not have this established etiquette with the sect he associates himself with. Which is sad and shows a lack of intelligence. Although that didn't have to be pointed out due to his lack of knowledge of the things he speaks on. i.e. the 03-04 SVT Ford Mustang Cobra and its Eaton supercharged 4.6L DOHC 32 valve V8 masterpiece. I personally have never met Thacker but if he is anything like the way he posts in this forum I can understand why someone would go to jail with the satisfaction of laying him out on the asphalt. I hope he is two faced or he would have excellent medical insurance. Either way I wouldn't associate myself with someone with such lack of respect and tact. Especially when it comes to other people's vehicles and there personal life. Yea without the person it would have been more than a car...but if I was on high boost, I doubt that would have been the results. Then how in the second race when you didn't brake boost, I stayed with you, and even edged out a lil bit. These races barely went past 100mph. Trust me, top end, 1G fwd DSM>Evo.
