so of course my last post i show my new wheels...and that broken HYDRAULIC mount :p
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a108/beaugotti/civiciwheels002.jpg
and to the people who think this it is a urethane mount:
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a108/beaugotti/builditbitch005.jpg
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a108/beaugotti/builditbitch006.jpg
I can see why someone who hasnt broken that mount, or take the motor out of a 96-00 civic would think it is urethane, it has a thick layer of urethane, and but it is hollow inside, with hydraulic fluid in there, what for i dunno:screwy:

anyway, with that all aside, that night after that mount broke i was for some reason driving to the store cause my girl wanted some ice cream, well i didnt even get out of the neighborhood when i heard a loud "POP!" and the car came to a stop :2up:

so i got it cranked got it back to the house, and it was knocking like a SOB...i dont know WHAT happened or anything but it would barely stay running, unless i stuck the gas to the floor, then it would kinda rev up.

so that brings me to this:
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a108/beaugotti/builditbitch003.jpg

which makes my crowded space look like this:
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a108/beaugotti/builditbitch004.jpg

i will be back with more updated, within the week should pick up my new short block and re do everything.

My plans for Phase one is to:
Get my motor rebuilt solid
clean up the bay
do a simple wire tuck if i can remember how, it has been about a year, since i have really done anything or had time to do anything to a car:gay:
respray the bay, dont know what color, thinking of going with something diffirent than red.

and do what ever else comes across the table.

so ill be posting updates at least once a week, seeing how im only off on sat and sun :p

thanks

I always put the fuse panel in the a/c evap core box. and last time i dont one i ran the main harness where the airbag module was just take the module off and place it somewhere else. Then take the pedestal off of the fire wall and cut a hole with a gromet, and it looks pretty clean. gl with the project beau looking real good:goodjob: .
Here's the wire tuck i done on a ek

09-19-2008, 01:10 PM
thanks for the comments.

- donnie yea, thats what i was planning on doing, should take the dash out tonight to work on my brakelines.

- Bucky - i dont know if i want to do the fuse box in the glove compart, sicne i use it alot lol, or under the airbag. my buddy robby put his where the airbag was, and it was clean

i should have a clearer idea tonight once i get the dash out.

The BUCKY
09-19-2008, 01:56 PM
i didnt want to put mine in the airbag spot because it seemed likeit would be a ***** to see if anything was blown. i do like my glove box mount though. i cut a bit of the back of the box out so its semi recessed

and the bay, waiting for all my AN fittings to come in ::NINJA::
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a108/beaugotti/builditbitch007-1.jpg

Oh and i need some ideas on what route to go with the bay paint. these are the colors im toying with:
Battleship Grey - Good universal color for when i repaint the car
OEM Roma Red - Have a clean OEM look to it
or something off the wall crazy bassboat style

if i go battleship grey, then im prob going to do the interior to, since ill eventually have to, and i think it'd be kinda KOOL

The BUCKY

battleship grey would be kool if you can make it flow with everything else on the car. are your fittings black? if so i think it would work well. if they are red/blue maybe not.

rhd_civic_ej
09-23-2008, 12:38 PM
donny - thanks man, ya ive been working pretty hard at it, im waiting to get my brake lines stuff in so i can get everything mocked up for the final stage, might have to do some bassboat :p

- taylor - we might be able to work something out, call me if you still have my numbah

anthony - thanks man, i really wanna do the holes, but i dont know if i can get a welder out here to do it, and i dont just wanna bondo/fiberglass it since its a semi daily driver, just due to gas prices :P

Bucky - My brake line fittings are all anodized blue, but my fuel lines are black, except for the piece that goes directly on the stock hardline, but anplumbing didnt have it in black. but you can see it anyway. brake lines should be dont this weekend, ups said they should be here friiiiiday

in other news tonight ill be doing the headlight harness, and main engine plugs, and might stick the dash back in to make sure all the fuse box wiring will reach.

rhd_civic_ej
09-23-2008, 08:26 PM
