ok ive got an ls swapped civic... i came across a little stumble in my throttle response so i checked the plugs and wires and such. come to find out the throttle body was CAKED in carbon stuff.. so i used some of the b12 chemtool stuff that you suck up in a vacuum line and i sprayed the tb butterfly and such.. now my car idles at like 1100 rpm.. wtf? so i pulled the iacv off and it was all gummed up so i cleaned it and started and idled at 800....2 secs later it went back to 1100.. any help will be repped thanks

Clean the IACV again, and then adjust the idle screw on there.

DONT ADJUST THE THROTTLE SCREW IF U HAVENT ALREADY MESSED WITH IT.

recheck ur vacuum lines for a leak and reset ur ecu

vacuum lines are fine.. ecu is a crome base mapped p06..

try a stock ECU, chipped ECU's sometimes make a engine idle a little higher or lower

i prefer my car to idle around 1100. as long as its not bouncing around; **** it.

i dont think that has to do with it idling 300rpms higher. if you have ever looked at a tune or ecu fuel tables, its not that much different from 800 to 1100.

To get to the screw, if you're not mechanically inclined, you're going to have to remove the CAI if you have one, to get access to the TB.
