my car is throwing codes.. its the intake air temperature sensor.. i have an aftermarket intake manifold.. skunk2 IM... the check engine light comes on every now and then.. once a week maybe.. not very often.. my car is 98 integra...

I'm trying to get my car tuned.. trying not to run into problems... soooo

I'm just wondering if i should replace it or clean it.. or check the ohms? i don't know.. and where is this sensor at?? can anyone get pictures?? and where could i maybe get the replacement?

thanks

Resistance
5 K ohms at 32 deg F
3 K ohms at 68 deg F
1 K ohms at 104 deg F
0.5 K ohms at 176 deg F
0.2 K ohms at 212 deg F

u should be able to get 1 from any auto parts or dealership

just hook up a scan tool from auto zone and see what the reading is on it. i had to replace mine yesterday. IAT circuit imput voltage high was the code i was getting. the sensor was always reading -40 degrees F. lol popped the new one in and it read 127 degrees.

i got one from there and it will tell me the parameters from all the sensors. its one of the Actrons. my local autozone uses the same one i use.
