I got offered two jobs on the spot and have another interview tomorrow. :boobies:

I got an interview with Timkin @ 11:30am tomorrow morning. If you don't know, they are the largest producers of bearings in the US (I believe), so more than likely your car has their bearings in it's knuckles. The next company is General Dynamics (Electric Boat Branch). It was funny how it happened. I was talking to a group of friends, and then a recruiter came up to us and brought us to their booth. After checking out our resumes, he was like he needed people like us and ask us if we were interested (which I replied yes). So in the next few weeks, I should be flying to Connecticut (yeah bitches Connecticut) to check out the plant where more than likely they will make an offer. Last, the U.S. Air Force wants me to become a civilian mechanical engineer (no military for me bitches) for them at the base in Warner Robins, GA. How this happened was really funny. So I came over to the booth and the guy asked me if I knew where Warner Robins was. I reply yes and told him I actually graduated from Fort Valley State University in 2006 (which is about 15 miles away). Another dude at the booth just pops out and ask if I'm CDEP (which I am), and when I said yes that dude jumps out of his seat and tells everyone that I'm the person he wanted :D (CDEP is like one of the most recognized dual degree engineering/geoscience program in the states). Then he told everyone else at the both how great my program is :blah: . He was even more impressed when he found out the I led one of thier luncheons (which he attended). So guys, it seems like my destiny is in my own hands now. Within the first 3 weeks of school, I already have 2 jobs lined up, an interview, and many other companies interested. Crazy thing is.... this was the 1st day of the career fair. Tomorrow different companies will be there, and tomorrow evening the mechanical engineering department is having their own career fair. So wish me luck guys..... :ninja:

Well, you still have time while I'm at the end of the road. It's do or die time for me. When you get to the end, they'll be all over you too :D.

Oh yeah, what's up with some pizza?!?

only issue with Timkin is they are really bad slave drivers. a friend works there, brutal hours and layoffs.

Apparently CDEP > grammar, lol.

JK man, sounds like you got some good opportunities. Just remember, if that many companies wanted you that bad the first day, others will as well. Make them fight over you and offer you more money! Cha-ching! GL.

Thanks for the warning!!!

I went to the interview this morning. They asked the most commonly used interview questions such as.... do you see yourself as a leader?....why? do you work well with others?.... tell us about an experience where you had to work among a group... :blah: Then when say the key words they make a note of it. Its funny how pick and chose based on a few words. They tend to love led, developed, created, founded, and a few others words.

We'll see how it goes, but I doubt I'll accept the offer if they make one.

LOL, it's real crazy. Honestly, if you dont find a job before you leave it's your fault. They basically throw themselves on you if you're graduating by the end of the semester.

They really do. Lots of people do not take advantage of the career fairs at school. I mean, they actually have to take the time to prepare things to attract people, lol.
