so its time to get my emissions done on the 97 altima and its thrown a code for a about a year and a half for a cylinder misfire, its usually passed emissions with flying colors even with that and now it wont. any idea of what it could be? recent fixes were knock sensor, distributor, dizzy cap, spark plugs any ideas would help.

thanks in adv.

Check your EGR system, If its not working properly it can cause a misfire.

Also was the knock sensor you replaced with a new one?

should have gotten checked out if check engine light was on.. if your mech. just did the work on the car, i would take it back and show them that u got a misfire code or just reset the obd and drive it for 100 miles and light does not come on then u are ready to pass
