any cel's ? wut pin did u wire the solenoid an pressure switch 2 ? you cant hear vtec in a sohc so if it aint throwing codes ... u have vtec .

not as loud as my GSR .... well ... EDIT: as loud as my gsr WAS .... lol
the d15b i had it was a very smooth non noticeable transition .maybe yours is diff i dunno .

the d15b vtec typically has the strongest vtec transition of any sohc vtec engine lol.

ehh maybe you need to recheck your codes, i dont believe any car with a p28 has a EGR

thats right it came with a z6.. and was swapped with a d15b now its thinking theres a EGR but there really aint any way to get rid of the code?

You need to recount the flashes, the p28 will not set a EGR code

none of my z6's have EVER thrown a egr code b4 .

The oil pressure switch will def make vtec not engage. have you cleared the codes and drove it again?

not bashing the guy you got it from...but joe told me that he was pretty sure that was a automatic ecu...i got a manual on if you want to come down to macon and try and see if you get vtec

even if its a auto ecu.. its a p28 it will still hit vtec my friends running a auto ecu and its fine.. something else is messed up somewhere...

what pin did you wire the vtec up to on the ecu? make sure the solenoid is on a4 and pressure switch on d6

Redrum478

its all correct on the wireing... ive tested the vtec soliend and it says to jump the wire comeing from it to + on the battery and if you hear a clicking its working.. did that works fine i even replaced vtec oil pressure sesnor... still dont work its got me puzzled...

if the wires are not right at the ecu then vtec will not work regardless of weather the solenoid and switch are good.

Its a 94 civic ex.. already came with vtec i double checked it to make sure it was all correct the wireing it right i even ran a wire from the solenoid to the ecu pin.. should i try runin wires from the pressure switch to the ecu to?? its got a jdm d15b motor with a p28 ecu

I know this one dude who swapped a b16a into his ek but he couldnt figure out how to wire up his vtec, so he just ran the vtec wire to his horn.lol vtec on demand right there son. sorry i know thats not helpful to your dilemma but i felt compelled to share it.
