If you had the funds and you wanted a fun coupe, what car would you buy. I looked at all of them today, but they were all nice, Please help.

2005 Aston Martin DB9
2007 Bentley GT
2008 Maserati Gran Turismo
2008 Porsche 911 Turbo

If you could give me the reason why, that would also be helpful.
Also If you would like to throw another car out there between the range of 90k-190k that would be appreciated also. Thanks In advance.

Gettin bored with the CTS? LOL.

Maserati>Aston Martin>Porsche>Bentley

I say the Maserati cause it's basically a scaled down Ferrari F430 with the addition of backseats.

I prefer the Maserati to the Aston for the shear elegance and rarity factor's. Porsche 911's are too common in that class and the Bentley's are just too plain to me.

There is also the CL 65 to consider in that category as well.

I actually drove the gt3 the black one at hennessey and it has horrible street manners.
The Maserati was nicer than I initially thought and kinda of cheap to.

Has anyone ever been in a Gallardo? Does it have good leg room? The 360 and 430 were way to small. The 599 GTB was big but, very pricey.

The DB9...easily one of the most beautiful cars inside and out, and it seems to be the most uncommon of that lot.

I was just in Buckhead earlier today...saw so many Continental GTs, Quattroportes, and 911s...oddly enough though, I did see one Aston Martin DBS parked outside Mercedes of Buckhead.

Totally unrelated, but I got to sit in an SLR Roadster today. Visibility is absolute ****house, but I guess the seat was too low. Even still, the top of the windshield frame was almost in my sight-line. Oh, I also almost embarrassed myself to no end because I forgot the car had those butterfly doors. I hit the "button" and almost got smacked in the face. :lmfao:

I would go with the Aston. Theres something about those cars that really appeal to me. And they look gorgeous.

Thanks for the input everyone. I Guess its between the 911 turbo, DB9, and Gallardo depending on the interior room.

911 or Aston. I wouldn't worry about 911's being common, it's still a fun ass car. But if it were me I'd grab a DB9 because they are absolutely gorgeous cars, doesn't get much better imo.

Out of THAT list the Maserati. Just because I am INSANELY in love with the body. I think of Porsche as a track toy. And it deserves to be higher then luxury :)

The Aston is great, and damn beautiful as well.

I wish I could make a thread like this.

By the way, I don't think the Maserati looks good at all...and it's not particularly quick either.

I don't think the exterior is amazing, Its different. The inside on other hand is just that! Only 405 hp, my Cadillac makes more than that. Also they will not offer it in a 6sp until early next year, with addition of the Gran Turismo S.

So thats why I have taken this out of consideration. The DB9 is auto to but, its still a DB9!

Hopefully this week I will go check out some other cars and make a choice. Pics will soon follow.

Didn't know your ass was a baller, Sleepy. Haha, but I'd personally go with the 911. Cause it's just so damn sexy!

I thought you could get a proper manual transmission on a DB9...not just the DBS. Hmmm

I didn't find the Gran Turismo to be so special. The Quattroporte looks better in person but not so for the GT. The car reminds me of a fish...and it looks fat. I'd go with a Quattroporte if at all. Thought about an SL63 AMG? Auto-only, yea...but they're brutally powerful.

If I was you I would get the new gallardo. Lambos fit my somewhat brazen personality more than other vehicles. THey are loud and in your face.

^...and not that comfortable DD's. Lambos still are kind of hardcore. The Gallardo not so much as the Murci.

But I have heard people DD'ing Gallardos. I just personally wouldnt.

100% get a Porsche GT3. you dont need any reasons to do that. IMO, the worlds BEST sports car

Though I agree that the Porsche is an incredible car, it seems like everyone already has one...not a GT3, just a Porsche. I'd rather take an Aston, because it's got such great presence compared to the Porsche. It really depends on what you're looking for though. The Porsche will certainly be a "fun coupe"...but I think I'd have a lot more fun in the Aston.

I've had the oppurtunity to park these cars at my valet job in buckhead and I would go with the Gallardo, but for the price range you are in why a porsche turbo and not a GT2. The GT2 is a beast and you rarely see those anywhere, which would make yours feel even more exclusive. If you want a manual with a clutch the GT2 is the best choice. Or if you like VW's DSG tranny, Porsche will also incorporate these by the end of this year.

GT2 starts at 191,700. I think. There is quite a difference there.

Nice car, very different but extremely small.

The CLK is nice, but I have personally owned 5 Mercedes and I just dont need another. Very nice cars the amg black series, I do not like the way they look. Never have been a fan of CLK body style. They always struck me as more of a female car.

I love the R8, went to the only dealership that had one, it was the owners personal car. They told me to come back in 2 years, so i can put my name on the list. Nice people though.

Thursday I am headed to Motor cars of Georgia, apparently they have a few lambos there. We shall see.

No there isn't. Bentley GT's, Gallardo's, and the DB9 start around that price, give or take 10k. I noticed SleepyS4 complained about Ferrari's leg room. If you can hold out a little longer Ferrari will introduce it's California hard top convertable. The V8 will be mounted in the front this time so the leg room should be more than enough. Ferrari's are also as baller as they come. Whenever I park one, they attract much more attention than all the other cars mentioned. I don't even have to mention ferrari's performance reputation.
