I am trying to go a different route than the norm. I have been hearing about an H2B swap for some time now and I need some questions answered. How much will the H2B adapter cost me? What kind of mount kit will i need to buy? And how much will this cost me? Reps will be given to any helpful info. Thanks in advance.......

quartersports.com or something like that sells the H2B kit. IIRC its $850

you need the alternator reloaction kit too

Then you need the h22 motor, B series tranny, H2B Mount kit which i think is a combo of H22 and B series mounts.

Youll need a custom header too

you use aftermarket ek bseries mount

you use aftermarket ek bseries mount

quartersportdrag, evolution, or bisimoto makes the kit

the cost will depend on what you got already

How much will a swap like this cost me if i provide all the parts execpt for the custom header? I have never done a swap like this so i think i need a pro to do the install........

I guess i have no choice, I thought H2B was gonna be a little cheaper than that

well if you already had a B swap in your car or the parts, the price would be different.

it is much cheaper man. sure, the kseries motor is around 1500 but parts for it to get it running right such as mounts, axles, ecu, etc. will kill your pockets and total out your wallet.

I heard that some shops can custom build a H2B kit. Is this so or it just a myth????

lol only right?
Its all up to him if its worth it or not. If you're planning to sell it then why bother? h2b was my old plan for my dc until i started reseaching and it kinda change my direction lol. kseries or h2b, both is still a nice swap just up to you. gl on your build

wrong you still have to raise the hood 1.5 inch to clear the hood! due to the H22 will be taller then a bseries

his friend does.... a H2B will not net you any power whatsoever, so whatever power a stock H22 has it what you will get unless otherwise. and not all H2B hatches are fast.... ive seen some done bad and they run like ass lol

How about a CF hood with the vents? Will that work?

depending on what parts you have the price will vary...i have a H2B swap in a eg hatch...its runs like a scalded dog...there are price differences in the quartersports and the evolution kit...but the price difference shows in the quality of the parts....ive done 3 evolution swaps now...and price for price...go h2b over the K swap...h2b is known as tha K Killler anyways lol....and as far as the custom header you dont really..you can take a stock H series header to muffler show and they can bend it for you....not that big of a deal...and another thing to consider is that if you go K series you cant just buy parts for it like cv axles you have to order them....with the h2b you can just run down to advance...but if you have any questions just holla at me..

really now? thats a BS

Is hood clearance an issue with all chassis’?

Yes. This is the sacrifice you have to make to optimize your drivetrain. Since the B-series transmission is not repositioned, the H-series engine will now sit in a slightly higher position.

DA, EG, & DC owners can run an OEM hood while spacing the rear hinges 1.5 inches.

The EF faithful are not so fortunate. A cowl style hood/or modifications will be required. You need a solid 3 inches of clearance in a Rex. And no, the SIR hood does not even come close.

EK guys are the lucky ones. The hood will close completely without spacers.

Nope you will still need longer bolts an spacers for the hood
How about a CF hood with the vents? Will that work?

Oh my bad for some reason I thought you was talking about a EG my bad, yes EK's will fit fine an no problems with hood clearance!

if you use the evolution kit all you gotta do is cut out the under bracing under the hood...no spacers needed...but thats on an eg if i remember reading correctly there is no clearence problem at all on an ek...

if its on a dc..and you have a skunk2 im...you have to cut the hood..and do like 2in. of spacers...
