Hello,
Here's my baby up for sale. I need a DD that I can drive in traffic. I love this thing but I am starting to commute to Atlanta daily for school and I can't be stuck in traffic in a car with this much power every day.
Heres the skinny
93 Civic Del Sol
Color: Red
Engine: Ls/Vtec B18b1/B16a2 ported with GSR cams and CTR pistons
Compression Ratio: 11.75:1
Transmission: off a B16 with shortshifter
Mileage on Chassis: 230,xxx
Milage on Motor: 50,xxx
Power: Makes 225 at the crankshaft. Whp ESTIMATED at 185~190 based on 18% loss through gearbox.
VIN: upon request
Other Modifications:
Red paint less than 1 year old (have a can of touch up paint too)
'00 Civic Si front end conversion with JDM headlights
Crossdrilled and slotted brake rotors
AGX 5 way shocks
Tein Springs
Energy suspension bushings
Neuspeed Sway and Strut bars
Konig rims now discontinued
Stage 2 clutch with less than 10k
Random:
There is some damage to the rear passenger side, I can get a new light and a bumper together for $100, shouldn't be too difficult to fix but I am dropping the price on the car because of this.
Front tires probably need to be changed, the car has an inverse camber right now that doesn't help longevity.
An alignment wouldn't hurt
Changed oil regularly with Castrol GTX 10w40 non synthetic
Recently replaced valve cover bolts and gasket.
New clutch slave cylinder
Power Windows
Power Mirrors
No Powered Steering... but take 1 good guess as to how much this car weighs.
wired for speakers but no speakers, no faceplate but includes cd player.

$3800? are you ****ing crazy? you can get wayy more if it made 225whp.! damn only if had cash!...and theres a dude with a LS/vtec NA hatch and he said it made 200whp and it is one of the highest powered 1.8's in GA...and urs is more!! damn i want this! f150 + $500??

3800 is firm.
3k for the motor and 800 for the chassis. A deal, no?

i got a clean 93 del sol si with new paint and cold a/c and p/s if interested let me know and ill send some pics and btw it gets like 45 mpg it has a jdm d15b with s20 5 spd.

so your claiming you should make 190 to the wheels with just those mods, i call 100% bullshiet
theres noway your even close to 190 this is why
1.) GSR cams---->not enough flow/lift to support CTR pistons----->stock CTR b16b's dont even make that much power to the wheels and they come with more aggressive cams
2.) what rods u runnin, better not be stock LS rods cuz to make 190whp your gonna have to rev more than 7k rpm
3.) u have stock TB and intake manifold, and exhaust manifold, no flow whatsoever for that compression, your engine isnt efficient at all
i'll give you, if even 150whp with the mods listed cuz really all you have is high compression and thats not how u build a efficient motor

I don't have the cash to blow on a chassis dyno test at the moment if you want to pitch in I'll do it, but until then please just keep your **** to yourself.

1.) u said you got gsr cams yo they stop making power @ around 8200
2.) reving anywhere after 7200rpms is not safe on ls rods
3.) so what im hearing is that this car has never been on a dyno so which means you never got it tuned correctly....hmmmm....

I think its ugly as sh!t....No offense, but why a civic front conversion???? Stupid choices people make these days..... Kinda like a integra front end on a 4th gen prelude...Makes no sense! But G/L on it I guess.. You could have atleast lined the front up alittle better.

running in the higher RPM's to make power with just piston upgrade without upgrading your cams, throttle bodie, or intake manifold, and exhaust manifold is like,
imagine this,

it's the people that build them that suck, theres always a reason why hybrid ls/vtec ,b20vtec break it's because 40% of the time they just bought only what was needed in parts to just make it just run, mostly by just getting higher compression pistons, 20% never got it tuned, 20% of them built it themselves for the first time, 20% of the people went all out and boosted the damn **** , sprayed nitrous or both and made hella power with all the right parts,many times on the dyno tuning but racing and pushin the shiet out of any built motor wont last forever and most of the people in this catagory met their goal anyways...peace

Sufficient flow equates to higher horsepower, not to mention with higher RPM's more flow is needed to create more power. be serious come on.
