What are you going to do if your candidate lose?

I hear all these people talking about how they're moving to Canada if Obama wins the election.

Nothing. I'll adapt to the laws and policies put into effect and keep on going. If I don't like it and things get too twisted for me, then I'll GTFO. Either way, we'll just have to wait and see how things pan out. I honestly don't see either candidate putting any major changes into play. Nothing immediate anyway.

My question is why do people think the world going to end if he gets elected

the problem is the radical idiots (rednecks) that think since he's black, he's going to mess it up for everyone. my main worry is that someone will try to assassinate him, starting a race war. the rodney king thing would be nothing compared to an obama problem.

I honestly wouldn't want to see McCain win. There is something about that wrinkly old face that screams evil. He's too stupid to run this country and too old to have sexual intercourse. That alone should be enough proof that he is not a happy man and could snap as quickly as the twig does.

ETA: It'll be fun reading the threads though.

Do I believe in universal healthcare? No.
Do I support distribution of wealth? No.
Do I believe in providing a mass amnesty for illegals? No.

Will any of those make a big impact on my daily routine? No. I only hope that whoever gets into office makes an attempt to clean sh*t up. I'm not a big fan for McCain, but Obama's views and stances are too close to Socialist for me to be comfortable with what he might be able to do.

Again, time will tell and if things start to really hit the fan, I'll abandon ship.

The sad part about it is he isn't just black. He the perfect candidate "race-wise" since he presents a combination of blacks and whites, but people (both white and black) she him as just black.

I agree with you on the last part, the last thing we really need is the US racially divided.

Because most people fear "CHANGE" and when i say "CHANGE" i'm not referring to the key element of Obama's campaign. I'm talking about the fact that the is a possibility that our next president will be a lot different that the last 43 that this country has had.

or will he be? lol

my :2cents:.That coin flips both ways. There are a lot of people voting for him just because he's black. Both groups are retarded and have no position to be voting IMO.

My thing is with our current system, things aren't getting better (except for the small % of wealthy people), so it's time for change. I believe if you improve the quality of living for everyone, then as a nation we will grow. Do I mean, use a direct Robin Hood approach... No, but if you're not hurting or struggling you should want to help out a less fortunate person (or family).

Why would either of them do anything at all to make themselves at risk of a major crisis? Right now the country has the best political climate it's had in decades. People are so f'ing confused about what's going on that they don't even care what "Change!" is. Many of them were arguing over not whether a woman or black man could be president, but which of the two would be better suited to the job based on things like ideology and experience. The top three issues for voters this election cycle are "The war", the economy and healthcare. Since both candidates are willing to lie their asses off about the status of all three of those things, and most voters have no idea what the truth about any of those things are, why would they actually change anything? All they have to do is make things LOOK like they've changed, and as long as they've actually stayed the exact same they can keep the voters strung along for as long as they want.

I can't stand the people who say their moving to Canada if so and so wins. Thats a bunch of BS. Especially because most of the people who I hear say that live with their parents anyways. :lmfao: They always start back pedaling when I call them out.

Anyways, if Mccain loses then its just an excuse to make t-shirts, bumper stickers, TV shows, and endless photoshopped pictures of Obama like everyone else made of Bush during his terms.

Im officially nominating Kaiser for president.

If Obama wins, im not going anywhere. I dont think one man can do anything to really change anything serious.

He will be under a microscope and anything he screws up will be blown up.

Only thing i fear is the Dems own Congress right now for another 2 years it looks like. With a Dem President and a Dem Congress, they will be able to pass stuff alot more easily.

itll be interesting to see no doubt.

I HOPE, Obama heeds the warnings of people more experieince than him (on both sides of the aisle) and i can only pray his cabinet is comprised of INTELLIGENT indivduals, and not Al SHarpton

While I appreciate the nod, I have to point out A.) I'm nowhere near old enough (Thank God) and B.) I don't think most Americans would like having someone who told them to clean up their own messes and stop acting like whiny b!tches when they messed up as president.

If Obama wins, I'm going to go "lol, should have made that $100 bet at 10:1 odds I was offered three years ago." and go on with life. The same way I've done with the last three presidential elections. I was old enough to vote for Bush 43 once, and decided that if the choices were Bush or Kerry, and a Libertarian party member who was crazier than I am, then I'd just skip that and vote on local. I've grown up since then and decided the crazier the libertarian the better. Having a Democratic house and Presidency still doesn't overcome the nearly evenly split Senate, which doesn't look to be changing much this year. I doubt anything of real importance as far as partisan politics goes is going to get done before 2010 no matter who wins.

Barring 9/11/2009 of course.

**** that. I don't have to support any body elses choices just because we're citizens of the same country. Thats the ****ed up mode of thought that Bush/republicans/democrats/people in general have taken advantage of.
