Looking to get a new point and click camera to carry around every day, but have been out of the market for a WHILE.

What are the best point and click cameras out now? Price range is under $400 i would say. I have a SLR so like I said this will be just something to have when not expecting anything to happen.

THANKS

i would def go with a cannon power shot, best point and shoot i have ever owned, mines and sd600 and i like it more then the newer ones, its rugged too , i hike for 2 weeks in newmexico backpacking with it dropping itr countless times, and it takes awsome pictures, and there are a whole lot of setting and effects you can add in the manule mode, its just so simple and the macro on its teh ****!!, and i you can pick one up 200sh and save yourself some green, hoped i helped

I agree with larossa9. Go with a Canon Powershot. I have a S5 IS. Love it!

Canon A540 PAS and love it. You can get them all day on Ebay (with 2gb SD card, mini-tripod, case, rechargeable batteries and charger) for $120. You can set anything to anyway you want to with it. Later, QD.

Canon is definitely good in the P&S realm.

Get a good bad and take your dSLR everywhere ;)
