Aight Cap seriously how hard is it come up with an idea for a body kit and rims. you misunderstood what i wrote. what i said about the rims was to come up with a design and have them made. but the body kits arent hard at all. all you have to do for the body kit is really just get some sheet metal (1/8 inch to 1/4 inch) and then bend it cut it and take some fiiberglass spread spread it about 1/4 in thick across the body kit and then you have to sand it time consuming but very easy and i can gaurentee that if you come up with something of your own no one can call it theirs and no one can dis it.

see the reason you should do the body kit yourself is because its cheaper so that you can spend the money to get the rims made so that they are yours. no one will be able to say where did you get those, or where can i get a set, or whatever they might say.

If you want to talk about guys tuning "REAL" imports, look at the Eurotuner crowd. VW, Audi, BMW, Merc, all made in Germany still, except for a few North America only models like the BMW Z-series and SUVs.

I understand that the volvo is made right now by ford. has been since 97 i believe. but thats besides the point because none of the new volvos would look good with body kits. they are fine the way they are, a 95 and older on the other hand would have some tuning leeway. now for the rims i have to keep saying that you come up with your own look for the rims come up with something that will be your own not just go buy them somewhere. when i make the next body kit for my car (1995 volvo 850) i will make a documentary on how to do it. it really isnt that hard. takes a lot of time but not hard to do. To be honest man, I'm prolly the wrong person to talk to about that. Honda spent millions of $$$ designing those three cars in my sig, and I pretty much agree that they look pretty dang good.

Now don't get me wrong, I have seen some decent looking kits; even some that might help with performance (for example, more air to a turbo). But to be quite honest with you, I'll probably never turbo a car that isn't turboed in the first place, and if I want a better looking car, I'll probably just buy one.:2cents:

There are car engineers who do this. So I don't doubt that someone could build a custom bodykit for any car. Yet, I doubt anyone that doesn't have a degree in Computer Engineering could do it. I know I wouldn't - because there would be so many factors that'll have to be taken into consideration. A blue print, actual physical test subject, ect. Just because you can color a car in your coloring book and add some extra body panels and kits doesn't mean it's possible.

Second - I never claimed to be an auto engineer, however, I can pretty much guarantee that my level of experience with automotive related industry is much higher than the majority of registered IA users. I am not the best mech, I don't know everything, but when I speak, it's either obvious bullsh/t sarcasm, a serious contribution to the discussion, an industry hookup, or a question (such as my highly neg-repped question about the Ford GTO - a platform I know jack about).

Im goin just for now with a 350 with 305 heads so that the compressions is high enough to run turbo blue through it. Also im going to put a 9 bolt ford rear end in and eventually get the 12 bolt rear end. i have tee tops on the trans am so i gotta be careful with how much power i put into it. i am going to put the frame braces in and get a couple extra support pieces to put in. (Definately not my first choice of race car)
I wasnt able to choose which car i wanted. But any way im probly going to get a nice carburated engine after this. Probly bore out a 350 to a 375 30 over ill end up stroking it later. After that ill throw a 24 bolt rear end in just to be on the safe side for throwing in the 572 with probly a t 6000 richmond trans just because. but ya. just looking for advice for what would be best so it doesnt get blown sky high.

turbo blue is gas mixed with jet engine fuel. it needs higher compression for the higher amount of octane. (classroom ****. Octane is the inability for gas to self combust.)
