so i want to get some opinions on my groups new music. we have 2 songs left to do before the "trip tape 08" is done and we released 6 of our 14 tracks on myspace already. people gave us some good reviews but i want to see how the people in our home town would react ya know. howeverrrr, lol i know how stuff can get on here..and verrry fast at that! so do you think we can do this the right way and not turn this thread into a jone out hate session?? lol

I have to say I don't like it. Honestly. I won't bash it and all, but I can't stand that "Akon" sound. Is this a studio that this is done in? I ask because it almost sounds like it was done on one of those Casio keyboards. I know studio time would clean that up.

Overall impression (to me)....it sucks. Now that's just me. It's not my style that I could listen to.

oh yea and we only used autotune..or that akon sound you're talkin about qd.. on 2 or 3 of the songs. everything else we just ran through a compressor to clean up the voices a little bit and make them sound more round.

haha thanks!! yea like i said we only used it on a couple tracks. in all we have 14 songs and the those couple that have it on the page are the only ones!! haha we got a lil tired of the autotune too.

the voice effects just really are annoying, it sounds sorta like akon but with to much affect
