pullapart.. what other cars have the motor. is this a hyundai 2.0? or the mitsu/hyundai clone?

Pull-a-part has nothing. Ive been over the entire lot. Its a 2.0 DOHC engine and its an 04. I dont know, maybe someone else will. Also not sure what other cars have the same engine.

I think the engine is called the Beta II (2). That motor is in all of the following cars.

* Hyundai Tiburon
* Hyundai Elantra
* Hyundai Tucson
* Hyundai i30
* Kia Spectra

G4GC - G4GF - hyundai 2.0 dohc engine codes

"The GC is what we call the Beta 2. It was used in 2001+ Elantras and 2003 4-cyl Tiburons. The main difference is it uses solid shims in the head instead of HLAs"

So it you can kind of widen your search for parts, for the crank..

if u want to try and find some cheaper parts, id call in some prices for a 97 tiburon/elantra.. the motors are the same, just after 01 they have a revised head with Vvt. even if u could find a cheaper motor form those cars, u could use the block. and just swap the head over.... its always a possibility!

i will ask my stepdad when he wakes up if hes got anything laying around, he works at hyundai so you might get lucky.
