Cause Obama has so much expereince for the White House to? Just because he went to a good college doesnt give him the experience to run a nation. He has barely ANY senate experience

brett don't make me take you down like RedGT... obama actually practiced and taught CONSTITUTIONAL law. not sure how much education you people get but politicians should have a background in LAW - journalism isn't a top major amoung presidents. seriously there are more qualified people on IA to run that sh!t. i would put any more my super mods up for VP they have to deal w/ 25,000+ members compared to measly 5500 inbreeders :lmfao:

He might as well have chosen Shirley Franklin and he would have killed 2 birds with one stone. He would have won over female voters, black female voters, and black voters in general. I mean at this point the only obvious reason for him making her his vp running mate would be for the win and not for the good of his potential future administration or the American ppl.

Edit: more than 2 birds...LOL:lmfao:

As I said, i know his educational background, But teaching law doesnt give you experience running a nation. Serving in government for a while gives you that experience to build off of, not teaching people about law.

He isnt even smart enough to realize we need to have off shore drilling, he doesnt seem to think us relying on the Middle East is a problem.

i guess you missed the point that he WAS A PRACTICING CIVIL RIGHTS LAWYER and teaching the very essence of what this country was founded on makes you more reliable source then a shirt w/ a nice rack :goodjob:

this has already been debated - we will not see any change in oil due to off shore drilling; this is a way for whitehouse friends in the oil business to make more money

It's not necessarily about lowering dependence from the middle east, it's showing them that we have the capabilities to do so, resulting in the price of oil dropping heavily. Supply and demand ftw.

1st point you made: and she is by being Governor of a state that has less ppl than Gnet county, like Admin has pointed out?

2nd point you made. He's smart enough to know that offshore drilling isn't the end all be all solution to our problems.

My question is being that the issue of foreign oil comsumption didn't just spring up overnight, why wasn't it a major point of concern during previous administrations, most notably those of George Sr. and Clinton?

Brett

They have known we have the ability to drill for our own, But that doesnt have prices where they should be. Even OPEC stated prices should not be any higher than $72, or less. They even say the market doesnt warrant the prices we are having to pay.

It should have been a issue many past presidents faced, But no one ever faced prices like what we are now and the fact now any escalations in the middle east have prices jump or become unstable. I think the US should have been looking to alternative fuels LONG before any of our current issues came up, But no one took it serious, Now we have to face it, and until we have the alternative fuels, etc we should be drilling off shore. Obama has to see that. Thats one of my biggest issues with him. I dont have much to say about him thats bad, I just dont agree with some of this idea's. I even watched his speech last night and found it quite interesting, But fact is certain issues to me are important and he doesnt seem to think those issues warrant anything to be done about it,

I think we can agree on the fact that the ball was dropped a long time ago. It just sucks that WE are the ones having to pay for it.

Yeah I wont blame Bush on the current oil, he carries partial blame, but so does Clinton, Daddy Bush, and Presidents before them. This has been something I find amazing that they didnt think one day being dependant of foreign oil would come back and bite us in the ass considering half those countries who supply us dont even like us
