I actually know where there is a 86 GNX with around 10k original miles that has been sitting in this old man's garage for 20 years. It was his son's first car. The son got in trouble for running from the cops, so his dad took the car and parked it. He has only taken it out a few times since then. He has no idea what it is worth, but isn't interested in selling anyway... Every once in a while when I see him out somewhere I offer to give him $5k for it lolol. He always says he'll think about it, but ends up telling me he is saving it for his grandson (who is like 7). Crazy old bastard.....

They said the engines are built to such tight tolerances they have to be rebuilt every 20 hours or racing, or every 10k miles of street driving or something like that. Small engine + GIANT turbo= crazy little car

Well we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. And my last car was a 68 Mustang, so don't say that I don't appreciate classic American cars. :)

I am sure the RS200 is either a kit or they destroy it in CGI. F&F has a tradition of re-using vehicles from other movies (Diesel's Charger is also driven by Wesley Snipes in Blade) and using kit vehicles. I read an article about how they created the effects for the first two movies. Most of the shots you see that don't show the wheels are done by hauling the car on a dolly or a trailer. Less actual driving is done because its safer/easier to film things using trailers and dollies.
