Joe Biden.

Bayh, Kaine, Clinton, and several others have confirmed that they are 'not' the pick. And ABC news is now reporting that the secret service has dispatched a security detail to Biden's house (http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/08/us-secret-servi.html). There's no longer any doubt.

yeah, i caught this on cnn yesterday morning. i don't know much about biden, but it should comfort a few of those who don't think obama has the experience to run the country (specifically, foreign policy), biden's been in the game for +20yrs. biden is also supposed to be a pretty witty character, so i'd like to see if there's going to be a change in the "bash mccain" ads.

My only major issue with Biden is that is goes against EVERYTHING Obama has been preaching to this point. You dont get change when you have one of Washington's political fixtures in your administration. Biden voted for the invasion of Iraq. Biden voted for for the Bush tax cuts both times. Biden's age effectivly ends all of Obama's talk of age, as Biden in only about 4 years younger than McCain.

Can't please everyone. Obama could have picked GOD and there still would have been someone with something to say.

I agree, but at the same time I thin he could have found someone that didnt say he wasnt ready to be President, and someone that didnt say he would be honored to run with McCain.

Obama just sunk his own battleship with this decision. Ballsy move, though. Stupid, but ballsy.

Indeed, I think he was depending more on the experience, though. I read somewhere Biden did said that in November 07 and since then his opinion has changed. How true that is I dont know, how is he going to relay this to his supporters I dont know.

I think it's ridiculous that the Clinton camp and their crew of supporters are mad because she wasn't chosen. Cry me a river. All P.U.M.A is doing is showing the nation that the Dems are tearing themselves apart and who's going to vote for a party that is fighting. Not to mention the fact that it's making Mccain's job that much easier.

might as well hand him the loss now. Thank Goodness.
