This problem started almost a year ago. I've browsed the nissan forums and they dont seem to get much action... so I'm here asking you ricers for ideas :D
My 96 nissan altima takes about 2 minutes worth of turning the key to get it to crank! It's worse in the morning or when it's been sitting for a while, but after it cranks that first time it's a little easier when cranking immediately afterwards. So far I've replaced the fuel pump... and no difference. I'm thinking fuel pressure regulator now.... Any ideas?
I'm pretty convinced its a fuel related issue b/c it's getting plenty of spark... it's turning over and trying to crank but it's missing something initially. Also thinking it could be distributor cap... although it looked fine almost a year ago.
