when i smoked i would always try to flick mine out while stopped, that way it doesn't hit anyone. and if i had to do it while moving - i would make sure a bike wasn't behind me. when i used to go riding with my friends, i got hit by a cig - it sucks so i tried to be aware of that.

Well... thats actually been proven to be a bs rumor.. that cellphones can ignite the fumes. It needs either an open flame, or an open spark (ie. static electricity)
