Ive read policies on a lot of coasters and stuff and most argue against riding with a broken bone, but I want to get some opinions...
I believe were going to Cedar Point in Ohio for labor day, and we were gonna ride the Top Thrill Dragster. Now that ive broken my collarbone, I dont know if im gonna be able to ride any, and it worries me. I mean even if we get there I proably wont ride any jarring coasters, but just wanted to see if anyone on here has ever been on one with a broken bone.

Btw anyone ever rode Top Thrill Dragster? How much does it throw you around?

i was there when Millenium force opened years ago....best park in the nation bar none. Enjoy time there even if you dont get to ride anything.

You should take into consideration that when you get on a roller coaster they do strap you over your arms.

But depending on what kind coaster(IE: It's top speed, type of rotations it makes, distance, ect) you ride you should be fine. I would just avoid high speed ones, since they may cause minor damage to your collarbone if it's not fully recovered.

^ well yeah i think mostof the coaster at Cedar Point are lap bar restraints and I know the top thrill coaster is...only problem is it reaches a top speed of 120mph....XD

Just drink heavily and it wont even matter until the next day even if it does hurt you. Plus theme parks are way more fun under inebriation.

How long has it been since you broke your collarbone? I broke mine when I was younger and the Doc. said takes longer then most bones to heal. I think 12 weeks. Did you get some kinda of brace to wear? As long as you didn't break it just a week or 2 go I'd say you fine.. just be sure to wear a brace.

If it was a broke arm or what not thats fine. But a collar bone is different. If the harnes is a over the shoulder harnes you might injure yourself even more.

Yeah its been about 3-4 weeks since the initial break...but I think I may not ride any of the coasters anyway....im scared i might injure it more, and with one part of the bone close to the skin.....i dont want to risk it too much.

yea its risky, collar bones are right there at the skin i mean. theres no protecting them, they break easily anyways
